Inspired by David Morrell’s novel Creepers, Do Not Enter tells the story of a group of thrill-seeking adventurers and wannabe influencers called The Creepers. With a weak premise to start with, Do Not Enter becomes increasingly absurd as The Creepers make their way to the Paragon Hotel, hoping to expand their audience beyond the paltry 81 views on their previous video. A quirky and comically dubious character, portrayed by Irish actor Laurence O’Fuarain, joins the crew as they begin filming or recording their nonsensical content. The humor derived from watching characters who are supposed to be aspiring social media influencers display a complete lack of social media savvy elicits a few chuckles, but it mainly strips the film of nearly all its tension.
